Our story

We met in 2020. Back then, it honestly wouldn’t have crossed our minds that it would be the start of something more. A walk suggested by a colleague from work turned out to be a bit of a meet-up — really just an excuse for her to bring along her ‘properly sound lad’, who turned out to be Jarek.

Now, since the bride isn’t exactly the most social creature, the change of plans didn’t spark the excitement Jagoda (that colleague) was hoping for. To everyone’s surprise, the conversation quickly stopped feeling awkward, and we kept finding things in common with almost effortless ease. The very next day, the three of us met again — this time at the Women’s Rights March. And that was the beginning of a lovely story that’s still being written to this day.

On our second date, Jarek got a phone call — turns out he had Covid. Since Natalia was living with her grandparents at the time and didn’t want to put them at risk, she couldn’t go back home. To be fair, a small part of her also decided going back wasn’t exactly necessary… and that this whole turn of events was very convenient — but anyway.

That’s how two people who were still basically strangers (plus a small ginger cat) ended up stuck in a studio flat for over a month. Seven years later — definitely not strangers anymore — we’ve decided to say ‘I do’.

The ceremony

Project without a name.png

We’ve chosen a ceremony inspired by Slavic traditions and a humanist approach.

It won’t be a religious ceremony or a Mass — so if you’re a person of faith, you can relax and take part without any guilt or awkwardness. It’ll be a more symbolic celebration, focused on what our relationship means and the shared beginning of this next chapter.

It will be led by a Celebrant (not a priest) and will include nature-inspired symbolism — the kind of gestures and elements that were part of our ancestors’ traditions.

You don’t need any special knowledge or preparation — just your presence and an open mind.

So, where's the wedding?

We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you to the 'Dolina Żab' (Frog Valley) Hacienda, located just 50 minutes from Wrocław. We were looking for a place in harmony with nature that would capture the spirit of Slavic traditions—hence our choice of this charming homestead surrounded by greenery and water. We hope you will have an unforgettable, relaxed, and wonderful time here.

We’d love to ask you something…

Psst!
